Senior Engineer BESS

<p>Key Responsibilities:</p><p>1. Electrical Drafting &amp; Design Development</p><ul><li>Prepare detailed electrical drawings, including single-line diagrams (SLDs),three-line diagrams, grounding layouts, and AC/DC wiring diagrams for solar PV and BESS projects for Utility Scale ground Mount Solar Project.</li><li>Develop plant layouts, conduit/cable routing, substation layouts, and equipment arrangements.</li><li>Good understanding of regulations, zoning and compliance requirements.</li><li>Create as-built drawings, shop drawings, and IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings for solar + storage projects.</li><li>Work closely with design engineers and project managers to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.</li></ul><p>2. Solar PV &amp; BESS System Optimization</p><ul><li>Optimize array layouts, inverter placement, electrical BOS (Balance of System) design, and cable schedules to reduce costs and improve efficiency.</li><li>Use AI-driven tools and automation software to enhance design workflows and reduce manual drafting efforts.</li><li>Ensure optimal land utilization and power evacuation strategies in collaboration with the engineering team.</li></ul><p>3. CAD &amp; Design Tools Proficiency</p><ul><li>Utilize AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical and other CAD tools for high-quality drawings.</li><li>Work on GIS-based tools and electrical modeling software to enhance system design precision.</li><li>Maintain drawing databases, version control, and documentation for all design files.</li></ul><p>4. Candidates must have detailed experience on Large ground mount projects. The candidate will be reporting to the Manager- Design &amp; Engineering (Electrical).</p><p> </p><p>Required Qualifications &amp; Experience:</p><ul><li>4-7 years of hands-on experience in electrical drafting for Utility-Scale Solar PV and BESS projects.</li><li>Strong expertise in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, PVsyst, and similar CAD tools.</li><li>Experience working with US utilities, developers, or other overseas solar markets is highly preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with electrical BOS (Balance of System), high-voltage equipment layouts, and Single Line Diagram</li><li>Good understanding of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, IEC, and UL standards for solar + storage systems.</li><li>Ability to optimize electrical layouts for efficiency, cost reduction, and improved energy yield.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple projects and drawing versions.</li></ul><p>Preferred Skills &amp; Certifications:</p><ul><li>Professional CAD Certification in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical.</li><li>Knowledge of GIS-based tools, SCADA system layouts, and power system simulation tools is a plus.</li></ul>
