<p>Job Description – Quality Assurance / Construction Engineer</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position:</strong> Quality Assurance / Construction Engineer</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Bangalore</p><p><strong>Industry:</strong> Real Estate / Construction</p><p><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p><br></p><ol><li><strong>Drawing and Plan Verification:</strong></li></ol><ul><li>Review and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings and plans.</li><li>Ensure ongoing construction activities are executed in strict accordance with the approved drawings and specifications.</li><li>Identify and resolve discrepancies between site execution and design documents, and ensure appropriate corrective measures are taken.</li></ul><ol><li><strong>Quality Issue Root Cause Analysis:</strong></li></ol><ul><li>Investigate quality-related issues to identify root causes and recurring problems in construction processes, materials, or workmanship.</li><li>Coordinate with relevant departments (engineering, procurement, site execution) to implement effective corrective and preventive actions.</li><li>Monitor the effectiveness of corrective measures and ensure long-term resolution of issues.</li></ul><ol><li><strong>Design and Documentation Review:</strong></li></ol><ul><li>Participate in design reviews to ensure that quality requirements are considered in the early phases of the project.</li><li>Analyze technical drawings, specifications, and other project documentation to ensure compliance with industry codes and standards.</li><li>Provide input on constructability, material selection, and compliance with quality standards.</li></ul><ol><li><strong>Inspection and Quality Testing:</strong></li></ol><ul><li>Coordinate and perform inspections of incoming raw materials and completed construction works.</li><li>Apply established quality assurance models (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma, or project-specific QA/QC plans) to validate compliance with project specifications and standards.</li><li>Maintain thorough records of inspection results, test reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions.</li></ul><p>Required Qualifications</p><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Mechanical</li><li>3–8 years of experience in quality assurance/quality control within residential or commercial construction projects.</li><li>Experience in real estate or high-rise building projects will be preferred.</li><li>Knowledge of IS Codes, QA/QC procedures, construction methodologies, and building standards.</li><li>Familiarity with concrete testing, finishing quality checks, waterproofing inspections, and structural quality control.</li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and construction documentation.</li><li>Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Good communication and coordination abilities.</li></ul><p>Preferred Skills</p><ul><li>Strong understanding of QA/QC documentation and inspection processes.</li><li>Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.</li><li>Knowledge of quality management systems and construction best practices.</li><li>Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality projects.</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities.</li></ul><p>Key Competencies</p><ul><li>Quality Assurance &amp; Quality Control</li><li>Construction Inspection</li><li>Civil Engineering</li><li>Material Testing &amp; Evaluation</li><li>Documentation &amp; Reporting</li><li>Site Coordination</li><li>Technical Problem Solving</li><li>Compliance Management</li><li>Time Management</li><li>Team Collaboration</li></ul><p><br></p>
