The role involves monitoring key production processes, troubleshooting operational challenges, coordinating with maintenance and quality teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.</div><h2 style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0;">Key Responsibilities</h2><h3 style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0;">Production Planning &amp; Execution</h3><div>Develop and execute daily and weekly production schedules to meet operational targets and customer requirements.</div><div>Coordinate with procurement for availability of raw materials such as billets, scrap, or concentrates.</div><div>Optimize machine utilization and manpower allocation to ensure smooth production flow.</div><div>Maintain production logs, reports, and operational documentation.</div><h3 style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0;">Process Monitoring &amp; Technical Operations</h3><div>Monitor and control key process parameters such as temperature, speed, reduction ratio, die profile, lubrication, and furnace conditions.</div><div>Ensure smooth operations of production equipment such as furnaces, rolling mills, extrusion presses, and other processing units.</div><div>Conduct root cause analysis of production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.</div><div>Provide technical support for roll assembly, die maintenance, and equipment changeovers.</div><h3 style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0;">Quality Assurance &amp; Control</h3><div>Monitor product quality including dimensions, surface finish, and metallurgical properties according to defined standards.</div><div>Ensure compliance with ISO/BIS/ASTM or customer-specific requirements.</div><div>Coordinate in-process inspections and quality checks during production.</div><div>Work with quality teams to resolve product defects and implement corrective measures.</div><h3 style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0;">Safety &amp; Compliance</h3><div>Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental standards across shop-floor operations.</div><div>Enforce Environment, Health &amp; Safety (EHS) guidelines and ensure proper use of PPE.</div><div>Maintain a safe working environment while managing high-temperature equipment and heavy machinery.</div><h3 style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0;">Troubleshooting &amp; Maintenance Coordination</h3><div>Identify and resolve operational issues related to furnaces, rolling mills, extrusion systems, and associated equipment.</div><div>Coordinate with the engineering and maintenance teams for preventive and breakdown maintenance.</div><div>Monitor equipment performance and ensure minimal downtime.</div><h3 style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0;">Continuous Improvement</h3><div>Implement lean manufacturing practices such as Kaizen and 5S to improve operational efficiency.</div><div>Analyze key performance indicators such as OEE, fuel ratios, production yield, and machine uptime.</div><div>Drive initiatives to reduce production costs, minimize waste, and improve process efficiency.</div><h3 style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0;">Team Coordination</h3><div>Work closely with production operators, maintenance teams, and quality engineers to ensure smooth operations.</div><div>Train operators on updated production techniques, safety standards, and process improvements.</div><h2 style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0;">Qualifications</h2><div>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field.</div><div>Experience in manufacturing/metal processing/industrial production environments preferred.</div><h2 style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0;">Key Skills</h2><div>Production planning and shop-floor management</div><div>Process optimization and troubleshooting</div><div>Quality control and compliance</div><div>Safety and EHS management</div><div>Data analysis and continuous improvement methodologies</div><div>Strong coordination and problem-solving skills</div><div><br></div>
